BROCKTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY Based in a regional Heritage Center complex consisting of a fire museum, shoe museum and "The Homestead" an historic residence reflecting 18th, 19th and 20th century architecture. Open to the public first and third Sundays of the month 2-4pm.

| Located in the heart of downtown Brockton, the Main Library was built in 1913 with a $110,000 donation from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie and in recent years underwent a $12.1 million renovation/addition project.

BROCKTON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA Recognized as one of the leading professional symphony orchestras in MA and one of the best regional orchestras in the country. Annual performance series includes Fall and Spring Concerts and Holiday Pops concert. Chamber Music concert added in 2010.

| CAPE VERDEAN ASSOCIATION The Cape Verdean Association of Brockton, Inc. (established in 1977) is a community-based organization, whose mission is to provide education, health, civic, social and human services to the Cape Verdeans residing in the greater Brockton areas. CV Celebration 2011 "Cape Verdean Day" is scheduled for Sun July 31 2pm-8pm (raindate: Sun Aug 7) at Arnone School/Keith Field, 135 Belmont Street.

| JUBILATE CHORALE Based in the greater Brockton area since 1977, the SATB community chorus is comprised of more than 65 singers, made up of the "young and young-at-heart and voice."

| MARY BETH MEEHAN, 2010 Brockton Artist-in-Residence The Brockton Cultural Council and photographer and Brockton native Mary Beth Meehan collaborated in 2010 to explore Brockton's identity through photography in a project called "Re-Imagining Brockton." The outcome was a set of photos to contribute to a long-term work of Mary Beth's entitled "City of Champions: A Portrait of Brockton".
